excellent stay with minor hiccup

fine decor generous portion attentive waiter various option
i found the building itself fascinating with its fine decor and grade 1 listed status. the generous portions of food arrived quickly, around 25 minutes after ordering. attentive waiters, especially ania, took care of our drinks and food orders. the breakfast included various hot food options, i consider that a good perk.
the sash windows in the room did not open very wide. that was a minor inconvenience, particularly given the warmer weather during the visit! perhaps a fan would improve the experience.

The room i was assigned seemed quite removed. it felt more like an afterthought to the main building. the noise from what sounded like a generator ran constantly throughout the night. this made sleep difficult. i also noticed a strange smell upon entering the room. It resembled stale food. it persisted even after opening the window.
