Guest Ratings & Reviews
The hotel rooms were very large and comfortable, but they did look in need of a freshen up; however, the hotel was closing for January to do maintenance work. The bed was especially comfy, and the room was well appointed with everything we needed. It was lovely, comfy, big, quiet, and very comfortable, with a view to the garden.
I had a comfortable stay at the hotel with beautifully appointed rooms that were very clean and had everything we needed. The price of £195 for the night felt a bit high, but the room's comfort and three large windows made up for it. The location was perfect, just a short walk to York Minster, shops, and great restaurants, making it unnecessary to use a car. The dining experience was very good, although we experienced a long wait to take our order in a quiet dining room. I enjoyed the fabulous bar selection as well.
I couldn't have asked for a better stay! The hotel's prime location near the York Minster and fantastic restaurants was a major plus. The room, tailored for my wife's mobility needs, had everything we could wish for, though some minor drawbacks. The service was impeccable, making us feel right at home.
I had a pleasant stay at this hotel in York. The front area is bustling with activity, the staff are genuinely friendly, and the location is convenient for train travel. The only downsides were occasional noise from outside activities and early morning brewery deliveries which disrupted our plans for a special occasion.
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the communal space outside was lively. The hotel's breakfast was good, and its location was excellent, right next to the beautiful attractions of York. The service was helpful and friendly, and I hope to return to this hotel soon.
The hotel offered a great rate for a room of really high standard and included breakfast. The attentive staff ensured a very clean and well-equipped room, though the pricing felt a bit overpriced.
